PROCEDURES
CHECKING OUT:
All materials are checked out at the circulation desk.
Kindergarten students check out 1 book at a time.
Students in grades 1-3 may check out 2 books at a time. Additional books may be checked out for assigned projects.
Students in grades 4 & 5 may check out 2-3 books at a time. Additional books may be checked out for assigned projects.
Grades 1 & 2-Books will be checked out for a one-week loan period.
Grades Kindergarten and 3-5-Books will be checked out for a two-week loan period.
Library books may be renewed for an additional loan period if needed.
RETURNING:
All borrowed materials must be dropped off at the circulation desk for check-in by 9 am on the class's Media day.
If a book is not returned on time, it will be considered late. Additional books may not be checked out until the student returns the overdue material. Students may put books on hold for 1 day if they forget their books on the their Media day. If the late books are returned the next day they can check out the books they placed on hold. If the late books are not returned the next day, the books the students placed on hold will return to the shelves.
FINES:
Students are responsible for the material checked out to them.
In the event that a book is damaged beyond repair or lost it will need to be replaced.
When books are chosen to take home, take care of them while in your possession. Keep them in a safe place away from pets and small children. Return them on time so others may enjoy them as well.
